Name that player!

At the start of 2020, only 66 players (53 Hall of Famers) had amassed more than Manny's 36.7 WAR in their first eight seasons. Not satisfied, he hired a personal chef in the offseason to create a "clean" diet.

Since coming over from the Rangers prior to the 2006 season, Gonzalez has been everything the Padres hoped for. He is an outstanding defender at first base, and his 30 homers and 100 RBI were both tops on the team last year.

Xander started hot for San Diego, slashing .362/.430/.580 in his first 18 games. He's a four-time MLB All-Star and two-time World Series Champion.

Back to the Front! Padres card back du jour...

Ha-Seong Kim
A 2021 signee from South Korea, Ha-Seong was a revelation whose 2.1 dWAR (in less than a half-season's worth of defensive games) were third-most in the NL.
