Name that player!

Jim's greatest baseball thrill was pitching a 7-inning Perfect Game for Lynchburg vs. Rocky Mount, 7-30-72.

Completing his first full season with The Twins last year, Ted's 7 triples tied him for the club lead. The tall, lefthanded batter had compiled a sensational record in the minor leagues, including two batting championships. A real speedster, he has been clocked at 3.6 seconds in getting down to first base.

Lightning struck twice as young Tony Oliva won the American League batting championship for the second consecutive season in 1965. Never before in big league history has a player won such honors in his first two campaigns. From May 25th till the end of the year, Tony batted at a .352 clip for the Twins.

Torii Hunter
Torii, the heart and soul of the Twins, reigned as the club's top slugger in 2003, while providing Gold Glove defense in center field. Hunter won his first gold mitt in '01, when he smacked 27 homers and drove in 92. The next year, he swatted .288-29-94 with 23 SBS, finishing sixth in AL MVP voting.
