Originally signed by the Milwaukee Braves, Bruce was drafted from their Denver farm club by the Los Angeles Dodgers, The Minnesota Twins selected the catcher from the Dodgers' farm chain in November of 1967. Last year, Bruce was the best hitting rookie on the Minnesota roster.



Jim's greatest baseball thrill was pitching a 7-inning Perfect Game for Lynchburg vs. Rocky Mount, 7-30-72.
