Possessing great speed and good power, Tommy looks ready for the parent club after his .319 batting average at San Diego in 1965. The fleet footed youngester cracked 42 home runs in 1962 for San Jose. Last year, Dick batted .301 for Seattle in the P.C.L.

One of the majors' top sluggers, Lee was among the NL's 1st five in Total Bases, Slugging Pct; Homers & RBI's in 1969. He was NL Rookie of the Year, 1967 and in 1968 he contended for Sophomore honors.



Led National League shortstops in fielding in 1951 with an average of 969. Virgil compiled a .241 batting average. He drove in 49 runs. Entered organized baseball as third baseman, but soon switched to shortstop. Red's rookie year in the majors was 1948.



Lee Grissom made his debut in baseball in 1934 with the Beckley Club, of the Middle Atlantic League, and was purchased by Cincinnati the same year and optioned to Fort Worth, with whom he played in 1935. He was recalled by Cincinnati the same year and optioned to Nashville, recalled by Cincinnati in 1936, pitching for them ever since. In 1937 he pitched in 50 games, winning 12 and losing 17. He was out of baseball most of last year because of injuries, but is back in the lineup this year and is well on the road to becoming the "strikeout king of the National League by virtue of one of the fastest balls in the league.
