After a season and a half with the Redlegs, Alex rejoins his old teammates this year. A slick fielder, he can perform at almost every infield slot with ease.



In the Cardinals' lineup for 93 games in 1950. Hit .256. Drove in 23 runs. In first complete season for St. Louis (1949), Eddie had a .304 batting average in 92 games. Drove in 42 runs. Kept out of action for most of the latter part of the season by an ankle injury. Brought up from Rochester and played third base in 6 games for Cards, 1948. 2nd baseman until then. In service 3 years.



Fans might be surprised to know that in 2003, Jim was second in the NL to Barry Bonds in HR rate with one every 11.5 ABs.
