The cards in this 726-card set measure 2 1/2" by 3 1/2". Topps continued with the same number of cards as in 1978. As in previous years, this set was released in many different formats, among them are 12-card wax packs and 39-card rack packs. Various series spotlight League Leaders (1-8), 'Season and Career Record Holders' (411-418), 'Record Breakers' (201-206), and one 'Prospects' card for each team (701-726). Team cards feature a checklist on back of that team's players in the set and a small picture of the manager on the front of the card.

This 478 card set was issued in two separate series. The first series (containing cards 1-239) was released in December, 1999. The second series (containing cards 240-479) was released in April, 2000. The cards were issued in various formats including an eleven card hobby or retail pack with an SRP of $1.29 and a 40 card Home Team Advantage jumbo pack.
The complete set of 2002 Topps consists of 718 cards issued in two separate series. The first series of 364 cards was distributed in November, 2001 and the second series of 354 cards followed up in April, 2002. Please note, the first series is numbered 1-365, but card number seven does not exist (the number was 'retired' in 1996 by Topps to honor Mickey Mantle). Similar to the 1999 McGuire and Sosa home run cards, Barry Bonds is featured on card 365 with 73 different versions to commemorate each of the homers he smashed in during the 2001 season.
This 220 card set was released in October 2004. The set was issued in 10 card packs with a $3 SRP which came 24 packs to a box and 12 boxes to a case. Cards numbered 1 through 65 feature veterans who were traded while cards 66 through 70 feature managers. Cards numbered 71 through 90 feature draft picks while cards 91 through 110 feature prospects. Cards numbered 111 through 220 feature first year players. All of these cards were issued with a 'T' prefix.
The 1992 Topps Traded set comprises 132 standard-size cards. The set was distributed exclusively in factory set form through hobby dealers. As in past editions, the set focuses on promising rookies, new managers, and players who changed teams. The set also includes a Team USA subset, featuring 25 of America's top college players and the Team USA coach. Card design is identical to the regular issue 1992 Topps cards except for the T-suffixed numbering. The cards are arranged in alphabetical order by player's last name.
