Discovery Plaza is the 1000 square foot forecourt leading to the Card Cyber Museum - a daily exhibition of 60 sports cards waiting to be discovered beneath your feet! Inspired by the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where celebrities leave their handprints in concrete, our Plaza features digital frames embedded in the ground - beneath bulletproof glass. Each day brings a new rotation of cards showcasing the incredible sets found within the museum. Originally inspired by Piet Mondrian's neoplasticism style with bold primary colors, Discovery Plaza invites you to uncover the stories behind the cards.

In World Series action, Julian seems to respond to pressure as he has compiled a nifty .346 batting average. He was the N.L.'s All-Star second baseman in 1964. In 1958 Julian swiped 27 bases to lead the Western League.

One of the finest defensive linemen in the NFL, Roger is just about impossible to run over. As fast as he is big, he does a great job against a running game.

One of the all-time greats of the Yankees. In 1950 a bad knee held Tommy's games down to 73 and his batting average to .272. Now he has hung up his active spikes and has donned coaching shoes. His career began in 1934. He came up to the Yanks in 1937. "The Clutch" had one of his best seasons in 1949. Hit .287. Had 20 doubles, 3 triples, 24 homers. Drove in 85 runs. Has served in Coast Guard.

This is Ken's 15th year in pro ball. He started in the minors in 1938 and after a 15-11 record at Norfolk in '41 and 17-10 at Newark in '44, he came up with the Yankees in 1945 to win 3 and lose 3. Sent down in 1946, Ken got a trial in 1948 with the Reds, but didn't stick. In 1949 at Sacramento, he won 19 games, struck out 108 and had a 2.85 Earned Run Average. He may have been a bit tardy growing into his power, but it materialized with a torrent of taters in 2014. Brian was chosen for the Gillette Home Run Derby after cranking 18 home runs in the first half - double his top total for any Minor League season.

One of the game's most popular players. A sparkplug for the Yankees, for whom he appeared in 144 games during the 1951 campaign. Batted .274. Phil, who is good at bunting, had 26 sacrifice hits to his credit. He drove in 43 runs. Worked way up thru Yankee farm system.

The 2011 Eastern League MVP honoree, d'Arnaud was traded to the Mets a year later in the R.A. Dickey deal. The stellar defensive backstop got his first taste of the Majors on August 17, 2013. Eight days later, Travis cracked his initial home run.

Mike was signed to a big league contract by his dad who was a scout for the Indians. The rookie finished 2nd in batting for Houston in '64. Mike began his career as a third baseman.

Regarded as one of best receivers in major leagues. He started in Organized Baseball in 1941 with Santa Barbara in California League. Until 1947 when he caught 130 games for Dodgers, he had never caught a full season with one team. After spending three years in service, he returned to baseball with Mobile of Southern Association and had caught 62 games for them when he was called up to Dodgers....

Toby was a pleasant surprise for Cubs fans in 1952. He did good work behind the bat, and his hitting was consistent. Included among his hits were 16 doubles, 3 triples and 2 homers. They were good for a total of 133 bases. He batted in 31 runs and scored 36. Toby's batting average was .290. He was with Montreal in 1951.

Despite his huge size, Jim has great agility and speed. His greatest thrill in pro football came against the New York Jets when he scored a touch- down after blocking a field goal attempt. Jim was the #1 draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 1963, but he elected to sign with the Buffalo Bills. Jim is very interested in studying archeology.

When Gil suffered a broken leg last season, the Sabres hopes for a playoff berth were severely hampered. The former rookie of the year and number one overall selection in the 1970 Amateur Draft is one of the flashiest performers in the NHL. A creative and speedy winger who has developed a reputation as being an exciting player to watch on the ice, Fleischmann has a powerful shot and a quick release. The youngster excelled in the AHL with Hershey during the 2005-06 season, posting an impressive point total.

Last season was Sid's best in the majors. He led the NL third basemen in fielding with a .948 percentage and he hit .299, drove in 107 runs, had 26 doubles and 30 homers. Sid is a product of New York's sandlots where he was first observed by Giant scouts. He hit .352 during his first year in organized baseball. He spent two years in the Coast Guard.

A rugged workhorse, Wray carried the ball 137 times and caught more passes (29) than any other full- back in the AFL. He had a 4-yd. rushing average and scored 11 TD's in '60.

A "sandlot" boy from Missouri, one of baseball's most colorful players. First played with Norfolk. After two war service years, joined Newark Bears in 1946 to play 77 games, hit 15 homers, bat in 59 runs and hit .314. He joined Yanks at end of that season to appear in 7 games. In 1947 he caught 83 games, batted .280. Last season in 125 games, most of which he played as an outfielder, he hit .305.

Minor stars round out the 1911 Turkey Red baseball card set. Roughly the same number of each Turkey Red subject was printed; most early 20th century collectors preserved stars rather than commons.

Shohei is one of only five players to notch at least 40 steals in one season and 200 pitching strikeouts in another. The other four all did so before the mound was moved to its current distance in 1893.

Fans in New York cried "Hail, Caesar" during brief playing career with the Rangers. Was MVP in Central League with Minneapolis in 1964-65. Played in Stanley Cup playoffs with Toronto at just 22 years-of-age. Also played for Montreal Canadiens. Big for a goalie: 6-3, 185. Cesare is hockey's most well-traveled goalie -- 13 cities in 8 years.

Gordon was obtained from the St. Louis Cardinals along with Johnny Lewis for pitcher Tracy Stallard before the opening of the [season.] Gordon had the best win pct. in the Texas League

Mike was an outstanding acquisition by the Canucks last season. He's a dynamic goal scorer, and scored at better than a point per game pace for the Canucks. He's a top-notch skater. Mike's nickname is "Shaky".

Say what you wanna say about Mack - usually he's not listening. "Whatever you think, whatever y'all think... however, y'all think I'm playing, that's what it is," he said in the midst of a striking 17-sack season in 2023. "I don't necessarily pay attention to that, mostly just trying to get a win."

Yariel shined in the World Baseball Classic tournament, fanning six batters in four innings of work against the Netherlands. He whiffed Ezequiel Tovar for his first MLB K, 4-13-24, via his hesitation delivery.

Tom donned a Yankee uniforin after 2 seasons of minor league ball. In '49, his 1st year, he won 12 and lost 9 for Ventura of the California League. Next year he won 17 and lost 8 in 28 games for Binghamton. Tommy showed so much at the '51 Yankee Spring Training Camp that the Yankees bought him from their Kansas City farm team. He fanned 3 in a 1951 World Series relief job.

The veteran quarterback recovered from his injuries just in time to star in the 1963 A.F.L. playoff game. He completed 14 passes for an even 300 yards. Babe received the honor of opening as the starting quarterback for the East in the All-Star game at San Diego. Despite a broken collar bone in the 10th game of the season, Babe declares 1962 as his peak A.F.L. campaign.

The World Champions... the first time any team could make claim to this title, Green Bay beat Dallas 34 to 27 and then took Kansas City of the AFL 35 to 10 to claim the crown. They played heads-up ball in season with a 10, 3, 1 record. TOUCHDOWN, FIELD GOAL or SUCCESSFUL TRY. Both arms extended above head.

Jeff, already the all-time home run leader among 2nd basemen, is still pounding the horsehide. He came up with the Blue Jays in 1992 and played with the Mets and Indians before finding his greatest success with the Giants from 1997 to 2002. The MVP of 2000, when he batted .334 with 33 home runs, he joined the Dodgers from the Astros in 2005.

Every so often a youngster comes along with a blend of skills that suggest he can't miss making it in the NHL and Aldcom is one of them.
