Pau Gasol
Pau, the biggest basketball star in Spain, decided to take his talents to the United States. In the 2001 NBA Draft, he was selected third overall, making him the highest-drafted European player in NBA history. Atlanta selected him, then traded him to Memphis. Pau not only is seven feet tall, but he can run the floor, handle the ball and shoot from long-range. He helped Spain capture the gold medal at the '99 World Junior Championships.
