Became the only player to lead the NBA in scoring and assists in the same season. Also topped the league in MIN, FGM and FTM. Set record (later broken by Michael Jordan) for PPG by a guard. Voted to the All-NBA First Team.

Carter is a defensive playmaker who routinely brings possessions to a halt with his hands. Over two seasons with the Providence Friars, the busy guard recorded 117 steals and 67 blocks. Eager to add that kind of production to their backcourt, the Kings tabbed him 13th overall at the 2024 draft.

Corbin will be joining its fourth team in five seasons, moving on to Sacramento. The hardworking veteran of to NBA seasons should be a strong influence on the Kings' youthful frontcourt players.

Walt Williams

One of the most exciting rookies in the league, Williams can do everything. The 6'8" guard-forward led the ACC in scoring as a senior, pumping in 26.8 points per game. He also contributed 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.1 steals per contest. Williams will back up both Lionel Simmons and Mitch Richmond as a rookie, giving the Kings a uniquely versatile three-player, "2-3" rotation.
