After breaking into the NBA with a 15-67 record in 1970-71, the Cavs showed steady improvement, culminating in the club's only Central Division title (1975-76). Still, the team made only four trips to the NBA Playoffs before Lenny Wilkens took over as coach in 1986-87. Since then, Wilkens has turned the Cavs around, leading them to the postseason four times in six seasons. DID YOU KNOW? The 1989-90 Cavaliers shot .407 from three-point range, the highest single-season average in NBA history. The Cavaliers won a team-record 22 consecutive home games from December 15, 1988, to March 2, 1989, which was the eighth-longest home winning streak in NBA history. SCORECARD. At The Coliseum on December 17, 1991, the Cavaliers roughed up the Miami Heat 148-80, the largest margin of victory ever in an NBA game.
