Norm Van Lier

Norm was one of St. Francis' finest players. In his junior and senior years he racked up a total of 573 assists. In all he scored 1,410 points in three years for an 18.8 points per game average along with grabbing off 769 rebounds. Acquired by the Royals from the Bulls in a pre 1969-70 season trade, Norm immediately made the deal look good when he scored 14 points in 22 minutes of the opening game of the season and played like a veteran.

Norm is a peppery backcourtman.

Nate Archibald

Nate starred three years on Texas teams which ran and shot their way to national prominence. He averaged 19.9 points over three years and his 1459 point total topped Jim "Bad News" Barnes' old school record mark. Nate was a Royals' regular through the 1970-71 pre-season games, averaging 13.7 points in 9 games and was a leader in assists. He was awarded the Royals' Outstanding Rookie trophy.
