When Marshall suffered a broken neck in 1991, it was thought his career was over. However, he overcame the injury and eventually returned to play with the Ottawa 67s. In 1994-95, he made his NHL debut with the Dallas Stars.

Mike led the 2000-01 Stars in assists and points while counting seven game-winning goals. He won the Stanley Cup in 1999 and recorded an assist on Brett Hull's Cup-winning goal.

Brert Hull

Although the goals were harder to come by for Brett Hull in 1997-98, the All-Star right winger still managed to lead the Blues in scoring for the eighth time in the last 10 campaigns. The future Hall of Famer then became one of the biggest stories of the off-season when he inked a free agent deal with 1998 President's Trophy-winner Dallas for the 1998-99 season.
