Having gained experience on one of the top squads in the Eastern Conference during the 2005-06 season, Ward showed flashes of brilliance with the Hurricanes during his rookie year. In January of 2006, he won all five of his starts and posted a .940 save percentage.

Born Oswego, NY, November 6, 1978. 6'1", 200. Shoots left. A former standout All-American at Clarkson (ECAC), Erik was one of the best two-way players on the 2000-01 Cincinnati Cyclones, although a knee injury cost him a dozen games.

Sean is no stranger to hockey championships. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin's championship team in 1989. Four years later, he helped the Montreal Canadiens win the Stanley Cup in 1993.
