Jack Egers

One of the better known players on the Capitals' roster, Jack has seen service with the New York Rangers and the St. Louis Blues. He twice cracked the 20-goal plateau with St. Louis, and is hopeful of doing the same for Washington this season. Jack is known for his extra hard slap shot. In 1969-70, Jack led the Central League in goals and in points scored.

Jack's nickname is "Smokey".

Since Langway joined the Capitals from Montreal in a 1982 trade, the team has never missed the playoffs. A member of the 1979 Stanley Cup champion Canadiens, Langway won the Norris Trophy in 1983 and 1984 and appeared in his milestone 1,000th NHL game in 1992-93.

Was the goalie for all eight of Washington's victories last season. Former rookie of year in Eastern League. Was second team All-Star choice in Central League for 1973-74 campaign. Was leading CHL playoff goalie in 1971-72 season.

Who is it?

The No. 16 overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft led Washington and was third in the NHL in penalty minutes in 2015-16 and signed a two-year contract extension with the Capitals in June 2016.
