Bernie Parent

The most valuable player in last season's Stanley Cup Playoffs, Bernie set a host of NHL records in 1973-74. They included Most Wins (47), Most Starts (73), and Most Minutes Played (4,314). He led the League last year with 12 shutouts and a neat 1.89 goals-against average. Now in his second tour of duty with the Flyers, Bernie is an outstanding angles player.

Bernie wore his mask until he won the Stanley Cup.

"Badman" Larry Zeidel has racked up some of the highest penalty statistics of all time in hockey. At Hershey (AHL) in 1959-60, he spent a record 293 minutes in the cooler. He's consistent, and rarely misses a game.

Who is it?

John missed 66 games in 2000-01 with a debilitating back injury. Still, he remains one of the game's most dangerous wingers, as three straight 50-goal seasons (1995-98) attest.

Five solid years with the AHL Buffalo Bisons finally earned Ed Van Impe a shot with the NHL Chicago Black Hawks. He impressed Philadelphia brass enough to grab him in the expansion draft. He's a real hard hitter and likes the going rough.
