Chara drew a standing ovation from the typically anti-Bruins crowd in Montreal, as he became the third player in NHL history born outside North America to appear in 1,500 career games.

Who is it?

Bob was obtained from Springfield in June, 1963, for four players. He had been with the Indians for eight years and was with Three Rivers for a year and a half before Boston gave him a shot at the NHL. Bob was originally in the Montreal organization. He's 30 years old, 6'1" and weighs 180 lbs.

Don Simmons

Came up to Boston under trying circumstances, filling the shoes of Terry Sawchuk, and made good with a bang. That was two and a half years ago. Don is righthanded, rare for goalies. Stand-up type who is rarely drawn out of cage.
