Always a spectacular scorer as a junior, Ray Cullen has continued that pattern in the NHL. "Cully" has been playing hockey since he was six. Two brothers, Brian and Barry also made NHL. Not a fancy skater, but very handy around net.

One of the few American-born hockey players, Charlie has rebounded from two serious injuries to continue his career. The helmeted center specializes in checking, a much needed but seldom noticed skill.

"Charlie Hustle," as he's called, is one of the few Americans to make the NHL. The helmeted center is very dedicated and always gives a top effort. Charlie turned down a coaching job to continue his playing career.

Brian, a grinding type of player, battled back from an injury-plagued 1988-89 season by setting career highs in goals and points. He had one of his best games late in the season when his two goals and an assist helped Minnesota defeat Detroit and gain a firm hold on the final Norris Division play...

Cesare Maniago
Cesare was the first choice of the North Stars when the team was formed back in 1967-68. He's one of the tallest netminders in the league and makes extra good use of his size to keep pucks out of the net. Cesare has a scrambling type of style but is very effective. Formerly played for Toronto, Montreal and New York before arriving in Minnesota.
