Tim appears ready to step into the role of front man in the 49ers offense. He was terrific in relief of an injured Jeff Garcia in 2003, leading the team to wins (and 60 points) in his first two starts. His 96.6 passer rating was the highest in the NFL among QBs who threw at least 100 passes. "I think if you ask every player in that locker room, they have confidence in Tim," said coach Dennis Erickson.

Bruce is the only experienced center on the 49'ers roster although he has also played guard and defensive end as a pro. He is known for his fierce blocking both on running and passing plays. He is a steadying influence on a young team.

The biggest man in the game today, Bob isn't bashful about throwing his weight around. He can blast through opposing defenses and cut a path for the 49'er runners. Bob is the S.F. co-captain.
