Fred Smerlas

When Fred was selected to play in last season's Pro Bowl Game, it marked the 3rd consecutive Pro Bowl trip for the highly acclaimed nose tackle. Fred also won election to the AP 1982 All-Pro Team, the first time he has been so honored by a major wire service. In 1981 and 1982 he was the nose tackle on Pro Football Weekly's NFL All-Pro Team.

Enjoys weightlifting and camping. Was superb high school wrestler earning New England title.
