A talented ballhawk, Johnny spent the last three years playing for three different clubs in the Texas League. Breaking into the minors at the end of 1956, the outfielder played in 26 games. The following season he played regularly for Muskogee and batted a solid .300.

After coming through with his best season in the majors in '61, Don was traded to the Houston Colts last winter. A five year veteran with the Boston Red Sox, the shortstop is one of the sharpest fielders in the game. Don hit.292 for Louisville in '55 before he joined the Red Sox.
