A pillar of Washington's retooling efforts, CJ earned his first MLB All-Star Game nod as a 23-year-old in 2024. The speedy shortstop fashioned an .831 OPS before the break. "He's really just scratching the surface," skipper Dave Martinez says. "I think there's a lot more of CJ Abrams that's going to come out, but he's the guy that gets this team going."

James Wood

Looking like a power forward towering in the outfield, James has prodigious pop in his bat that makes him a promising rising star for Washington. He exploded onto the scene when he made his debut on July 1, 2024, in The Show. In his first week, Wood hit .320 with six RBI, including a three-run tater in his sixth game to fuel a 14-6 win over St. Louis.
