Jim Lemon - Card Back
Jim Lemon

Jim came up to the Indians at the end of the 1950 season with a reputation for long-distance hitting. At Oklahoma City that year he smacked 39 Homers and drove in 119 Runs. The 1951 and 1952 seasons were spent in the Service and after starting '53 with the Indians he was sent to Indianapolis. At Harrisburg in '49, he hit 27 HR's.

Jim had a tough job awaiting him with Oklahoma City in '50. He was following Al Rosen who was their homer king in '47. But Jim came through! By mid-August he hit 39 homers and batted in 119 runs before joining the Indians.
