Albert Leonard Rosen was nicknamed "Flipper" or "Flip" in Junior High School where he pitched softball. Later shortened to "Flip" Joined Cleveland in 1948. Tied major league record by batting in 4 home runs with bases filled in the season of 1951. Hit three homers in one game, April 29, 1952. Led in total bases, 1952. Voted A.L. Most Valuable Player 1953; led in RBI's 1952 (105) and '53 (145); in '53 also led A.L. in HR's (43) and runs scored (115); also in '50 led in homers (37).

Jim Hegan
Jim is considered one of the best handlers of pitchers in the Majors and much of the credit for Cleveland having 3 twenty game winners must go to him. He caught 3 no-hitters in the Majors and is of 2 active receivers to make an unassisted Double Play. Jim started his career in '38 and has been with the Indians since '42, except for 3 years in the Service. In 1948 and '49 he led American League Catchers in Putouts.
