Bob Feller

The fireballing righthander is one of the all-time great pitchers of baseball. He began with Cleveland in 1936; has been with them since, with exception of three years in service. He has won 20 or more games six times, each time has led or tied for most wins in the league. He has pitched three no-hitters. Bob also established the modern record for most strikeouts in nine inning game with 18.

One of the best fielding catchers in baseball. Topped American League backstops in 1951 with a percentage of .991. Hits a long ball. Slammed 6 home runs and 17 doubles in the '51 campaign. His batting average was 238. Broke into majors. with Indians in 1941.

"Suitcase" Simpson is in his fourth year of pro ball. The 1951 campaign was his rookie year in big time. He alternated between outfield and first base. Batted .229 for 122 games. Before coming into the majors, Harry played in the outfield for Wilkes-Barre and San Diego.

In 152 games for the Indians in 1949. Batted .224. Led American League catchers in putouts in 1947 and 1948 - in double plays and assists in 1948. First joined the Indians near end of 1941 season. Began 1942 with Baltimore (4 games), but moved right back up to Indians. In armed forces 3 years. Then returned to Cleveland as first-string catcher.
