Jim Kaat

1966 was Jim's finest season as the southpaw pitched 19 complete ballgames-the top mark in the American League. Two years ago he led the circuit with 42 starting assignments and he helped the Twins win the pennant. Besides being an excellent fielder, Jim is one of baseball's top hitting hurlers.

Last year Jim was the A.L.'s winningest pitcher. He defeated Sandy Koufax, 5-1 in the '65 World Series.

Willi Castro

Willi will do anything to get on base. In a game in September 2023, he reached on a hit-by-pitch, a walk and a bunt single. He led the American League in hit by pitches the first half of the season. One of the most versatile players in history, Willi became the third ever to have 20+ appearances at five different positions, 6-29-24.

Willi hit .324 (.385 OBP) in his first 17 games batting leadoff in 2024.
