George Zuverink

Tireless George posted the best Oriole E.R.A. last season. Originally a starting hurler, the sinker ball specialist switched to bull pen duties when he came to Baltimore in 1955 from Detroit.

George was in more games that any A.L. hurler in the past 2 years. He saw action in the Phillipines during World War II.

Adley Rutschman

Following a brief acclimation period to big-league pitching in 2022, Adley booked a .924 OPS and ripped 32 extra-base hits over a 60-game span beginning June 10. He also rated among the top five catchers in Baseball in pitch-framing and pop time. Not coincidentally, the Orioles went 38-22 during that stretch to surge into the thick of the AL Wild Card race.
