Discovery Plaza is the 1000 square foot forecourt leading to the Card Cyber Museum - a daily exhibition of 60 sports cards waiting to be discovered beneath your feet! Inspired by the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where celebrities leave their handprints in concrete, our Plaza features digital frames embedded in the ground - beneath bulletproof glass. Each day brings a new rotation of cards showcasing the incredible sets found within the museum. Originally inspired by Piet Mondrian's neoplasticism style with bold primary colors, Discovery Plaza invites you to uncover the stories behind the cards.

1947 was Sam's rookie year in the majors, and only his second in organized baseball. Playing in 123 games in the outfield and at first base for the Red Sox he wound up with a .302 batting average which included 14 doubles, 8 triples and 12 homers. He also batted in 73 runs. Last season his average slumped to 233. With Scranton in 1946 he hit .342.

Experts predict a great Big League future for "Pete" who was named to the Rookie All-Star Team after the Senators called him up in the middle of the 1951 season. At Chattanooga in '51, he hit .356. A World War II veteran and former Rice Institute student, Jim started in the minors in 1949 and hit .372. In 1950 at Texarkana, he batted .330 and hit 10 home runs.

Corey was one of the best hitters in MLB all year. He hit for average and power. Only injury kept him from posting a historic shortstop hitting season.

A chill ran down Davy's spine. The Indian dance around the fire meant only one thing-war!
