Discovery Plaza is the 1000 square foot forecourt leading to the Card Cyber Museum - a daily exhibition of 60 sports cards waiting to be discovered beneath your feet! Inspired by the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where celebrities leave their handprints in concrete, our Plaza features digital frames embedded in the ground - beneath bulletproof glass. Each day brings a new rotation of cards showcasing the incredible sets found within the museum. Ranked among the top left handers in 1946 but sore arm stopped him in '47 and last season. Finished with five-four and seven-ten record, respectively. His seven-ten mark was clouded with very poor 5.29 earned run average. His 42 strikeouts in 114 innings pitched last season, however, shows he still has throwing finesse when sore arm doesn't bother him.

Ed was traded to the Astros, December 1966. In 1959, Ed led the N.L. in homers. He set a mark by hitting 30 or more homers for 9 straight seasons.

Cesar Gutierrez: A shortstop with a fine minor league history, Cesar has hit .300 or better for four different campaigns. A native of Venezuela, the 5'9" batter hit .298 in the PCL last year. Rich Robertson: Rich had a big year at Phoenix in 1968, winning 18 games and striking out 216 batters. Just 24 years of age, this righthander is 6'3" and weighs 195 pounds.

The Padres drafted this promising outfielder-first baseman from the Houston organization. In 1967, Nate was named to the Topps Class AA All-West team as he topped the circuit with 28 home runs. In 1963, Nate led the Texas League with 26 stolen bases.

Eighth in the WNBA in rebounds per game in 2000, Askamp recorded four double-doubles last season, including a monster 20-point, 15-rebound performance in Miami's season-ending victory over Orlando.

Fred C. Clarke, manager of the Pittsburgh National League team, was born in Des Moines, Iowa, October 3, 1872. He com-menced his professional career in 1892, when he joined the Hastings, Neb., Club, and the following year he went to the St. Joseph Club of the Western Association. He played with Louisville from 1894 until 1899. Clarke went to Pittsburgh in 1900.

Jorge made the move to Seattle in 2024 after a decade of excellence in Minnesota. He provided the same quality production for the Mariners, recording a 12.5% BB rate with five HRS in his first 41 games.

Like teammate Magglio Ordonez, Carlos puts up consistent power numbers year after year. Lee drove in 84 runs as a rookie in 1999 and has plated at least 80-plus every season since. In 2003, he reached at least 24 homers for the fourth straight year. In one 10-game stretch in '03, he belted eight.

Samuel Charles White nicknamed "Sammy" as he is called by his teammates and fans, originated in the far northwest, which is a section that normally does not contribute many outstanding ball players. Sammy started with Seattle in 1949 and played with various minor clubs until 1951, when he became a regular with the Boston Red Sox.

Hit 42 home runs in 1951. Led the league in that department for the 6th straight year. Tied a major-league record, and extended his own National League record. Batted .309 for season and received the most bases on balls (137). Led in slugging percentage with .627.

Although Mike has been slowed by a foot injury, he remains a great threat as a receiver. Last season he caught 32 passes for 378 yards and 2 TDs. He is a feared blocker and a major factor in making the running game go.

A six-year NBA veteran, Brown had easily his best season in 1991-92. He improved in almost every statistical category, while finishing third on the team with an average of 5.8 rebounds per game. Brown has now appeared in 299 consecutive regular season games.

A rugged workhorse, Wray carried the ball 137 times and caught more passes (29) than any other full- back in the AFL. He had a 4-yd. rushing average and scored 11 TD's in '60.

Amos Strunk, outfielder of the Philadelphia American League team, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1889. He was secured by Philadelphia in 1908 while playing with the Atlantic League. He was farmed out to the Milwaukee club in 1909, but did such brilliant work that Manager Mack recalled him.

Jaquez earned First Team All-Rookie honors after posting 11.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 2023-24. There was no time to rest, however, as the hard-working guard honed his game at the ensuing NBA Summer League. "There's nothing better than getting game reps," he said. "You can't beat it."

Allan was Jazz' leading playmaker with 383 Assists in 1980-81. He also had 63 Steals and a game-high of 18 Points. Allan led Virginia Tech to NIT Finals in 1972-73.

Joseph was, as always, one of the Leafs' most valuable players in 2000-01, as his save percentage (915) ranked 10th overall in the NHL. For the fifth time, he recorded at least 30 wins.

Vladimir is such a complete hitter that he doesn't need to blast nearly 50 big flies to rank as one of the loop's best hitters. He generates high averages with his line-drive approach and boosts his OBP with walks. He has, however, also led the loop in home runs in 2021 at age 22 and already has two three-homer games, so the power is also ever-present.
