Discovery Plaza is the 1000 square foot forecourt leading to the Card Cyber Museum - a daily exhibition of 60 sports cards waiting to be discovered beneath your feet! Inspired by the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where celebrities leave their handprints in concrete, our Plaza features digital frames embedded in the ground - beneath bulletproof glass. Each day brings a new rotation of cards showcasing the incredible sets found within the museum. Originally inspired by Piet Mondrian's neoplasticism style with bold primary colors, Discovery Plaza invites you to uncover the stories behind the cards.

Originally a pitcher, Ollie was converted into an outfielder. He proceeded to rip apart the California League in 1964, pacing the circuit in runs scored, triples, home runs and runs batted in. Ollie pitched a no-hitter vs. Wisconsin Rapids on Aug. 13, 1963.

Jessie was a strong contributor during her four years at Maryland and ranks fourth all-time for career points, fifth in rebounds and third in blocks. She was named to the AIl-ACC Conference first team in her junior and senior years.

In 1967, Ron tied a Cardinal club record as he appeared in 65 games! He was extremely effective as he saved 9 ballgames and won 6 others. Ron pitched in 3 World Series games in 1967. Ron broke into pro ball as an outfielder in 1961.

Called upon time and time again to come off the bench, generate offense and play tough defense, Pat is at home in the role of a ready reserve. He matches up defensively with the small forwards and big guards in the league effectively. Pat was captain of Kentucky Wildcats as a senior.

Rafael made history when he turned in an unassisted triple play against St. Louis on August 10, 2003. It came during his 4th season as the Braves shortstop, a period during which his speed aided the team on offense and defense. A 2003 All-Star, he scored 130 runs, 1 shy of the team's modern record, and he tied for the league lead with 10 triples.

Matt became the 15th player this century to reach the 50-homer milestone. His total of 54 roundtrippers set a new franchise record. He led MLB in RBI.

Rangers joined NHL in 1926 with Lester Patrick as coach. Team's original forward line of Cooks and Boucher rated one of finest in history. Hall of Famer Ching Johnson also starred on original Ranger team.

Blossoming into an A-1 relief pitcher, Lee led the Sox with 11 saves in '68. Lee once struck out 4 Senators in one inning.

"Red" had a 20-7 record and struck out 162 at Omaha in 1950, and the White Sox drafted him. He was traded to the Browns early in the '51 season. At St. Louis, Bob was used mainly as a relief pitcher. He started in the minors in 1947 and won 17 games, striking out 194. In '48 he won 17 and fanned 178. At Omaha in '49, Bob won 7. but came back strong in 1950.

With more than 50 cards, the New York Giants are the most represented team in the 1909 T206 Set.

In 2024, Jared and Paul Skenes formed one of the best rookie duos ever. In his first seven starts, Jared whiffed 52 in just 41 innings with a 2.63 ERA.

Gene tied the modern National League record when he smacked 3 Homers in 1 game for the Dodgers in '48. A "picture hitter", Gene has been in pro ball since '39 and was with the Dodgers from '43 until traded to the Cubs in June of '51. Henrique tied Kyle Palmieri to lead the Devils in goals and finished second on the team in points in 2015-16. Henrique was joined by former OHL Windsor Spitfires linemate Taylor Hall in New Jersey in 2016-2017.

Carl joined the A's at the age of 16 in '43 and has been with them since, except for 2 years in the Army. He had his best year in '48 when he chalked up 14 wins against 8 losses and had a .393 Earned Run Average. Carl had records of 9-12 in '49, 3-10 in '50 and 1-12 in '51. Paul missed the 1957 season by being in the Army but rejoined the Giants last year. He owns an overpowering fastball that is really tough to hit and Paul can change up on a batter with baffling breaking pitches. A former University of Minnesota athlete, Paul was a Big Ten football star and was nominated on many All-America teams. Paul sells stocks and bonds between seasons.

A total of 524 cards are in the 1909 T206 Set but that number can be up for debate.

Tom returned to the Yankees in 1954, after losing a season and a half during which he was in the Army. His 32 appearances were just about equally divided between starting roles and relief appearances. Tom won 11 games, and lost 5. His earned run average was 3.34.
