Discovery Plaza is the 1000 square foot forecourt leading to the Card Cyber Museum - a daily exhibition of 60 sports cards waiting to be discovered beneath your feet! Inspired by the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where celebrities leave their handprints in concrete, our Plaza features digital frames embedded in the ground - beneath bulletproof glass. Each day brings a new rotation of cards showcasing the incredible sets found within the museum. Originally inspired by Piet Mondrian's neoplasticism style with bold primary colors, Discovery Plaza invites you to uncover the stories behind the cards.

The backs of the 1916 Sporting News M101-4 black and white cards were customized and created for distribution through a variety of advertisers such as The Sporting News, Altoona Tribune, Gimbel’s Department Stores, Standard Biscuit, Weil Baking Company, and other smaller companies.

Had a reputation for being one of the best relief pitchers in the Pacific Coast League. Had a trial at one time with the White Sox. 1947 when he had a record of 10-5 was one of his best years. With the Cubs during 1948 he was in 54 games and had a 7-2 record.

Another banner year for this halfback in 1967. Tom led the Colts in rushing and was third on Baltimore in pass receiving with 496 yards. Tom quarterbacked for the Colts in 1965 when Unitas was hurt.

A high school All-American at the same school that produced Wilt Chamberlain, Walt attended UCLA where he led the Bruins to two national titles. Primarily a shooter, Walt has become one of the NBA's best playmakers and has led the Hawks in assists the past two seasons. Walt is a fine penetrator, a good ballhandler. Originally signed by the Braves, he saw service with Evansville, Hartford and Milwaukee, before winning 11 games for Atlanta in '53. Dick joined the Tigers for Spring Training '54 and was sent down. At Atlanta he posted the 2nd best E.R.A. in the Southern Assn. in 1954.

Lee Petty won one race in 1950, the final race of the season, on October 29 at Hillsboro, North Carolina. Petty would have won the championship in 1950, but in mid-July he was penalized 809 points for driving in an unsanctioned event. Had he not been penalized he would have won the championship by 440 points.

John returned to the Nets almost one year to the day after being traded to the Pacers and added new life into club's offense almost immediately. A tough competitor, he played a vital part in Nets 1973-74 game vs. Nuggets which clinched the Play-off Championship with 16 points in 4th quarter of the contest.

Obtained from the Kansas City Chiefs for Jim Fraser, Abner is one of the greatest stars in AFL. He holds the All-time AFL rushing record of 3830 yards for five seasons. He is the fourth highest scorer in AFL history and tops all players in the league in touchdowns. A perfect halfback, Abner is swift, shifty and a brilliant runner. Abner was the A.F.L. Player of the Year in 1960.
