The Sun retired Whalen's No. 13. "Lindsay Whalen is a legend-one of the greatest point guards and competitors to ever step on the court," said Amber Cox, vice president of sports at Mohegan Sun. "She was not only instrumental in leading the Sun to two appearances in the WNBA Finals, but she put professional women's basketball on the map in Connecticut."
A star at the University of Connecticut, Tuck didn't need to move too far after moving to the WNBA, joining the Sun as the No. 3 overall selection in the 2016 draft. Whether as a starter or reserve, the forward is an important member of a squad consistently in contention in the Eastern Conference.
Jessica Brungo, the 16th overall pick of the 2004 WNBA Draft, averaged 10.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 2003-04 as a Penn State senior. Her 117 three-point field goals made ranks seventh all-time in Penn State history and she finished with 1,143 points.
